Street Food Guide Germany 2025: The Best Street Food Stands in Frankfurt
For around 90 years, the name Bader in Frankfurt has stood for the best fish specialities. Prepared fresh and homemade every day, you can also take away baked calamari, fish risotto, mackerel in cocktail tomato sauce, salmon and the classic French fish stew.
The starting signal was given 15 years ago, and today the location in the railway station district is a cult centre for Frankfurt currywurst. It comes from the local butcher, as does the farmer's bread, which a baker developed especially for the sausage. The homemade savoury sauce rounds things off.
The Frankfurt Green Sauce is of course a must. This small, cosy restaurant also serves noodles with ham, egg and cheese, as well as barbecued ribs with cabbage and mashed potatoes. Everything is freshly prepared and also available to take away.
Snack classics and street food creations are on offer at this cool location in the railway station district. In addition to colourful salads, the best fries and a currywurst made to their own recipe, the house speciality is the Canadian national dish poutine, fries with sauce and cheese.
It has long been a Frankfurt classic: Gref-Völsing's legendary beef sausage has been the butcher's masterpiece for around 130 years. You can try it in the in-house butcher's shop in Frankfurt's Ostend district, optionally as a currywurst with a roll or with chips.
Long since a cult classic! There are already several outlets in Frankfurt and the surrounding area offering the "Best Worscht". Bratwurst or beef sausage, that is the question here. Also available in a curry version, and always served with real farmhouse bread or home-made chips.
