Falstaff Wine Guide Italy 2026

The history of the winery is still young. Valeriano and Maria Rosa Mingotti from Brescia only bought it in 2004 because of their holiday memories of this region, whose history dates back to the founding of Rome. The Tenuta is located at the southern end of the Castelli Romani, where the vines enjoy the cooling breezes from the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea. While Valeriano and Maria Rosa initially sold their organically grown grapes to other buyers, their children Silvia, Enrico and Osvaldo put the business on a professional footing, cultivating and growing their own grapes on an area of 18 hectares.

CantinAmena is first and foremost a family story. Driven by their passion for wine, Valeriano and Maria Rosa Mingotti from Brescia bought around 20 hectares in Campoleone di Lanuvio in 2004, fulfilling an old promise. A few years later, their children Silvia, Enrico and Osvaldo decided to continue along the same path and transformed their parents' farm into the Mingotti agricultural company. From the very first vintage, the wines produced have been impressive for their character and personality.
