It all began with a small corner store for homesick Italians in Chur, from which grew a wine shop - that still exists today - and ultimately the Cottineli winery emerged. The Cottinellis pressed their first Grisons wines many years ago, in 1948. Today, the winery, which is now part of the Plozza Winegroup, has around 22 hectares of vines between Maienfeld and Chur, growing mainly local varieties such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling-Sylvaner as well as specialty varieties such as Completer.
