Donatella Cinelli Colombini has 33 hectares of vineyard in Tuscany cultivated according to the BIO (organic) regime and by hand. These vineyards are divided in two estates that were already being cultivated by her ancestors 400 years ago. These are Casato Prime Donne in Montalcino and Fattoria del Colle in southern Chianti in the Doc Orcia region. The first produces Brunello and small quantities of other premium wines greatly appreciated by wine lovers and wine critics all over the world: 9 of them have ratings of over 90/100.
The two wineries are the first in Italy to be staffed entirely by women: wine makers and cellar staff, the hospitality and the marketing team are all women, and have demonstrated that gender discrimination must be abandoned forever. The wineries welcome visitors for guided tours and tastings. Fattoria del Colle is like a small hamlet built in 1592 and still intact, in the midst of a wonderful panorama. There are rooms, apartments and villas for tourists with 3 swimming pools, two parks, a restaurant with typical cuisine, a cookery school and a banquet hall for parties and weddings.
