Falstaff wine guide Austria 2026/27

The Etyeki Kúria winery was founded in 1996 on the Old Hill of Etyek. The winery has made a name for itself through innovation while respecting tradition. They were the first in the region to plant Pinot Noir grapes for varietal wine production, which have been important for both the winery and the wine region ever since. Head winemaker Sándor Mérész joined the team in 2009 and shaped the unique style of the wines by combining local know-how with the latest research findings. The wines and sparkling wines have already won numerous national and international awards. The backbone of the broad portfolio is formed by Pinot Noir wines, the wines of the Mérész Sándor project and sparkling wines. Anyone who tastes these wines will be delighted by the authentic spirit of Etyeki Kúria.
