Thorn Castle is located 20 kilometers east of Luxembourg City, directly on the banks of the Moselle. The castle and vineyards have been in the family since 1534. Baron von Hobe-Gelting uses the shell limestone soils and the unique microclimate, determined by the river and the protective effect of the mountain ranges on its banks, to produce noble and full-bodied wines. In keeping with the tradition of the Upper Moselle - and probably since Roman times - the Elbling grape also grows here, producing a light and mineral wine that is well worth discovering.
