The name "family" in the name of the winery in Thörnich is no coincidence: father Harald and son Matthias look after the vineyards and cellar, while Maria Rauen is responsible for marketing. And it is a rock-solid collection that we were able to taste: Naturally, the 2017 vintage finds its most concise expression in the Spätlese and Auslese, but the dry Rieslings also impressed with their freshness and minerality. Last but not least, even the Sauvignon Blanc shines here - no wonder, Matthias Rauen has New Zealand experience.
