Falstaff Wineguide Germany 2021

Daniel Grossarth has submitted a small but coherent range of wines from the 2018 and 2019 vintages, from which the juicy Riesling "S" stands out, skillfully reflecting the terroir of the famous Kloster Disibodenberg site. However, the delicately savoury Pinot Blanc from 2018 and the enjoyable, delicately tart Gewürztraminer "Sommercreation" from 2019 also show that the winemaker knows his craft. The Grossarth winery cultivates its eight hectares of vineyards on steep slopes and slate soils according to the guidelines of controlled, environmentally friendly viticulture.
