When a Chardonnay is said to have "compact opulence" and a Syrah "powerful, grippy" tannins, then we are not in Burgundy or the Rhône, not even in the Pfalz - but in the north of the Middle Rhine. Until a few years ago, only the locals knew Leutesdorf as a wine-growing village. But Martin Sturm has put the area with its rare pumice soils on the map for connoisseurs. Since 2011, the former business journalist has been cultivating a carefully growing area of steep slopes according to organic standards. And with great skill! Congratulations on your promotion.
