The franciacorta Franciacorta DOCG Extra Brut, vintage 2016 from the winery Ferghettina has been rated in 2024 by Simon Staffler, Othmar Kiem with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir from the region Franciacorta in Italy.
Intense straw yellow with a drop of olive green and persistent mousse. Elegant nose of rich tropical fruit, some elderflower, plus fine yeasty notes, some hazelnut and nougat round off the bouquet. Precise and clear on the palate, with a beautiful texture and great juiciness, a powerful attack and finish, beautifully salty on the finish.
