Deep carmine-garnet colour, purple reflections, subtle ochre rim. Ripe sweet cherries, some liquorice, subtle herbal spice, hints of oak and nougat, undertones of candied orange zest. Full-bodied, fine cherry fruit, pronounced fruit texture, finesse-rich acidity, mineral-salty nuances on the finish, has balance, length and ageing potential. Can compete with top St. Émilion wines.
