The red wine Vigna degli Apostoli Sassella Valtellina Superiore DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Aldo Rainoldi has been rated in 2026 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Chiuro in Italy.
Powerful, bright garnet red. Opens on the nose with notes of forest honey and dark tobacco, fine fine wood components, then ripe red berry fruit, also lots of plums. Round and supple in the attack and on the palate, builds for a long time with dense tannins, embedded in a lot of enamel, unfortunately quite a clear wood overhang on the finish, dries out a little.
