The red wine Il Principe Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2017 from the winery Antica Fattoria Machiavelli has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Elegant, bright garnet in colour. Primarily woody-spicy on the nose, then ripe black currants, some blackberry and black leather emerge on the finish. Very rich on the palate with again that fine woody spice, supported by dense tannins and dark berry-compact fruit. It opens up in many layers, with full-bodied drive, becoming slightly drying on the finish.
