The red wine Pressenda Barolo DOCG, vintage 2008 from the winery Azienda Agricola Abbona Marziano has been rated in 2012 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Bright ruby with garnet shimmer. Inviting nose, shows lots of rich, ripe fruit, plums and preserved cherries, some leather in the background. Lardy on the palate, builds well, lots of ripe fruit, unfortunately a little drying tannin from the mid-palate onwards, still wood overhang on the finish, still needs ageing.
