Sparkling, deep dark ruby. Finely drawn nose with intense dark berry notes, blackberries, some dark currants, slightly smoky notes in the background. Hearty and juicy on the palate, shows a lot of present fruit, opens with pithy, gripping tannins, builds up a good arc of tension.
