Powerful use of wood and highly ripe, expressive fruit: Blackberries, dried plums, juniper, the ripeness of the grapes pushed to the limit and to the edge of light raisin and marsala notes, but the silky richness and irresistible charm make the venture seem successful. Powerful, but not clumsy.
