The red wine La Atalaya del Camino Almansa DO, vintage 2014 from the winery Bodegas Atalaya has been rated in 2017 by Sautter, Ulrich with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Castile-La Mancha in Spain.
Extremely dark in color, intensely fruity on the nose: blueberry compote, wild berries and balsamic herbal tones. Fiery on the palate, crumbly, grainy tannins in medium-high quantities, well-supporting (rather mild) acidity, but despite the extract and although the fruit remains very present on the palate, the alcohol is somewhat ahead of the other components.
