The red wine Muga Aro Rioja DOCa, vintage 2010 from the winery Bodegas Muga has been rated in 2014 with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Tempranillo, Graciano from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Tempranillo and 30 % Graciano. Violet in colour. Emphasises fresh fruit, blackberry and viola, cocoa bean. Powerful in the mouth, both in alcohol and tannin. Impressive density, almost impenetrable tannins, compact, ripe acidity, mouth-biting. Actually a wine in the old style, just decidedly too young - and perhaps missing the longer ageing.
