The red wine Avior Rioja Reserva, vintage 2017 from the winery Bodegas Sonsierra has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser, Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region La Rioja in Spain.
On the nose: notes of dark chocolate, rum raisin, very ripe fruit, also notes of bitter herbs and mulberry. Buttery tones. In the mouth, the wine develops some power with mellow, fine-grained tannins and rather restrained acidity. The alcohol is integrated, the final fruit has medium intensity and length. Needs three or four years of ageing.
