The red wine Alte Reben Lagrein Südtirol DOC, vintage 2017 from the winery Brunnenhof Mazzon has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Intense and rich purple, almost inky, with a delicately brightening rim. Elegant and dark berry nose, opens with a restrained savoury note, blackcurrant, elderberry, reminiscent of pepper. On the palate it shows full of tension and creamy texture, opens on savoury berry nuances, gripping tannins, firm drive on the finish.
