Rich, bright ruby with a fine garnet rim. Very intense and appealing nose of dark cherries, blackberries and dark tobacco, with a hint of dark chocolate in the background. Full-bodied and powerful on the palate, unfolds with firm pressure, hearty, gripping tannins, rich depth, lingers for a long time, but also needs further ageing.
