The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2021 from the winery Cantina di Montalcino has been rated in 2026 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Montalcino in Italy.
A deep, luminous ruby red. On the nose, it is rich, with notes of ripe Amarena cherries, dark chocolate, and candle wax, as well as strong hints of fine wood. On the palate, it features plenty of tannins and rich astringency, along with spicy notes of pepper and fine wood, and a slightly drying finish—a “classic” wine in the best sense of the word.
