Clear, dark ruby red. The nose offers red cassis, ripe bell pepper, a rich savouriness, and some tomato leaf. There is an underlying fruity subtlety of ripe blackberry with a touch of undergrowth. On the palate the wine is fruity and lush, with great integrated acidity, a delicate loosely-knit tannin structure, and great length, although it seems a bit drying on the mid-palate.
