The red wine Barbaresco DOCG Montefico, vintage 2022 from the winery Carlo Giacosa has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Bright, light ruby colour with a brightening rim. Presents itself elegantly with ripe fruit on the palate, notes of dark plum and heart cherries, as well as nutmeg and some cold smoke. On the palate, the fruit is beautifully emphasised, with tightly woven tannins and animating acidity.
