The red wine Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Castell'in Villa has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon staffler with 92 Falstaff points.
Bright ruby red, elegant. Initial subtle earthy tones, then rose hips, ripe cherries, black tea, hints of malt and dried rose petal. On the palate, rich, grippy tannins and fine earthy notes, racy acidity but not yet harmonious, put away for 10 years.
