The red wine Fortior Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2024 from the winery Castello di Fonterutoli has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Intensely bright ruby colour with a slight purple tinge. Appealing, finely characterised nose with notes of cherry, some violets, then lots of blackberry, subtle spice. Plenty of juicy fruit on the palate, fine, well-integrated tannins, crisp, perhaps a little less drive on the finish than in other years, but has very good drinking flow.
