The red wine Siepi Toscana IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Castello di Fonterutoli has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear, rich ruby, shimmers dark. Compact nose with rich notes of ripe blackberry and blueberry, plus fine notes of cinnamon and clove. Juicy, lots of clear, ripe berry fruit, well-integrated tannin with a nice drive, juicy and polished, the oak is now better integrated, but still slightly drying on the finish.
