Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle ochre rim. Somewhat retrained on the nose, with a delicate herbal savouriness, nuances of dark cherries and a hint of nougat. Medium-bodied, dark fruits of the forest, quite loosely knit, ripe tannins and medium length. Offers uncomplicated drinking pleasure, too little in view of the excellent vintage. (25/1, PM).
