The rosé wine Bandol Rosé, vintage 2019 from the winery Château de Pibarnon has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Mourvèdre, Cinsault from the region Provence in France.
A deep colour with orange reflections. Candied fruit, candied orange peel and cocktail cherry on the nose. Lots of texture at the start, mealy phenolics and ripe acidity. Completely at peace with itself, mild without sweetness, medium-high density in the structure, and strong in the body but still remaining light-hearted. A full-bodied Provençale of the old school.
