Tasting Notes
Dark ruby in colour with purple reflections and a subtle edge brightening. The nose shows dark berry fruit underlaid with fine biscuit, smoky herbal spice and tobacco. The palate is juicy, with good complexity of black berry fruit and firm, well-integrated tannins. Dark nougat emerges on the finish, which shows some length and a mineral and bitter chocolate aftertaste. Good ageing potential.
More about the tastingVery dark ruby garnet, violet reflections; fine chocolate caramel, inviting bouquet, underlaid with dark berry confit; relatively sweet on the palate, lots of cassis, somewhat underlaid with dry tannins, still delicately astringent despite a pleasant melt, very potent, combines power and elegance, full-bodied finish, very great future.
