Tasting Notes
Deep ruby-garnet colour, purple reflections, brighter rim. Red forest berry confit, a hint of cinnamon, nuances of sultanas. Juicy, elegant, sweet texture, fine dried fruit notes in the aftertaste. Juicy and persistent, shows good length. Good further ageing potential.
More about the tastingStrong carmine garnet in colour, with some cherry highlights on the side of the glass - lots of glycerine. Dark berries on the nose, with some savoury animalistic notes and a touch of brettanomyces. Powerful on the palate, with very full-bodied texture and a core of dark berry jam. The vivid tannins give the wine length are perhaps a little monolithic, leading into the dark chocolate and plums finish. Still has some ageing potential.
