Tasting Notes
Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, subtle edge brightening. Delicate aromas of precious wood and candied orange zest, underlaid with dark forest berry confit, some cassis, black cherries. Medium body, red berries, currants, fresh acidity, salty on the finish, a somewhat demanding finale, the usual Merlot component has been taken over by mildew, a decent but atypical Phélan-Ségur. (12/25, drink)
