Tasting Notes
Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. A somewhat restrained bouquet with hints of fresh cherry, cassis, tobacco and oak. Juicy with fine fruit expression, ripe tannins, a touch of nougat, mineral, tightly woven and freshly structured. Shows good length, but still overall quite underdeveloped, needs time.
More about the tastingDeep almost opaque ruby core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Elegant wood spice nuances, a touch of nougat, a hint of cardamom and candied orange zest. Complex and substantial palate offering, blackberry nuances, well-integrated, supporting tannins, chocolate notes on the finish. A structured wine with great ageing potential. Stylistically as closed as Latour is rare.
