Tasting Notes
Dark ruby garnet with purple reflections and a delicately lightening rim. The nose is elegantly balsamic, with dark berry fruit underlaid by hints of truffles and fine wood - a highly attractive nose. Juicy red berries make up the concentrated core of the palate, supported by silky tannins and a finesse-rich structure - then the turbo is switched on! Very long and multilayered, but does not seem too massive at any stage thanks to a quite wonderful balance. A great wine for many years of drinking pleasure.
More about the tastingVery dark ruby, purple reflections. Sweet heart cherry, fine nougat, delicate orange zest, fine savoury notes, a multi-faceted bouquet. Elegant and full of finesse, fully ripe cherry fruit, powerful but very balanced, freshly structured, silky tannins in large format, lasts for minutes, great development and certain ageing potential, fine cocoa aftertaste, a Vin de Garde.
