Tasting Notes

Tasting from 16.02.2022

Dark ruby garnet with purple reflections and a touch of edge brightening. Fine nuances of precious wood, black forest berries, a hint of liquorice and some nougat on the nose, with truffles and candied orange zest adding aromatic complexity. The palate is full-bodied and highly elegant, again with an echo of ripe cherry fruit wrapped up with developed tannins. It feels mineral and persistent, with great length and assured ageing potential. Benoît Trocard has produced a super wine from this great mini-terroir that can compete with the very best.
