The white wine Cloudy Bay Te Koko, vintage 2003 from the winery Cloudy Bay has been rated in 2021 by Anne Krebiehl MW with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Marlborough in New Zealand.
Slight smoke, lime and buttered toast on the nose are joined by the beautiful spiciness of tomato leaf on the nose, colouring the evolved notes in herbal freshness. The palate is immensely concentrated and shows incisive, vibrant freshness with the haunting echo of passion fruit and lime. Lovely now, will be pristine for the coming decade.
