The red wine DOC Caronte, vintage 2015 from the winery Cormano has been rated in 2017 by Martin Kilchmann with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Canton of Ticino in Switzerland.
Deep red in colour. An intense, markedly woody bouquet, show notes of dried fruit, black cherry, plum and black pepper. The palate is full-bodied and compact, with fine, wood-dervied tannin and a balanced acidity that leads into a long finish. A modern Merlot that majors on wood character.
