The red wine Contrada Diciasettesalmi Etna Rosso DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Cottanera has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nerello Mascalese from the region Sicily in Italy.
Elegant, flint light ruby. A bit reductive on the nose at first, then cold smoke, almost bacony, reverberating with geranium. On the palate dense and very juicy, also shows fine fruity-sweet components, seems nicely polished in the back, finishes juicy-salty.
