Impenetrable purple red. Spicy, multi-layered aromas of coffee, stewed plum and blackberry on the nose, with some clove and allspice behind it. Full and intense on the palate, some black olive, plenty of drive, lingers for a long time, then some loosely knit tannin on the finish.
