The white wine Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers, vintage 2018 from the winery Domaine Amiot Guy et Fils has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 94+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Bourgogne in France.
Spicy new wood shows on the nose, but also notes of liquorice and saffron. In the mouth there's some gritty phenolics adding structure to the seamless body. The acidity is very well integrated, with the minerality hidden behind a hint of substantial astringency, but still providing a firm foundation. Plenty of future to look forward to here.
