The red wine Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru AOC, vintage 2003 from the winery Domaine Bernard Dugat-Py has been rated in 2006 with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Burgundy Hautes-Côtes-de-Nuits in France.
Dark, bright ruby garnet, dark color core, ruby red reflections, delicate edge brightening. Very restrained on the nose, almost somewhat unfinished, with hints of cigar tobacco, raisins and stone fruit. Juicy, opulent and sweet on the palate, soft, melting texture, somewhat dry tannins, a somewhat incongruous acidity lends a lemony note to the finish. Seems unbalanced, delicate bitter note in the finish, still needs a lot of time.
