The red wine Cahors La Marguerite, vintage 2018 from the winery Domaine Cosse et Maisonneuve has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser, Ulrich Sautter, Benjamin Herzog, Dominik Vombach with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Cahors in France.
Inky black in colour. On the nose, amarena cherry, wormwood, liquorice, Grafschafter goldsaft syrup, nougat, but also wild raspberries, blueberries. On the palate the wine has tremendous density, but retains its juicy character and is not drying, fleshy ripe tannins, verging on astringency (but not beyond), a lot of minerality, tension, but not excessive. Great length, fantastic ageing potential.
