Tasting from 23.03.2022: Ulrich Sautter

Cherry and raspberry brandy on the nose, with a very nuanced fruity edge and delicately smoky wood tinge. Some sour cherry juice and iron add balsamic notes. In the mouth, the wine is broad and voluminous, with the fine-grained tannins effortlessly covering the volume without being astringent. The acidity is ripe but carries well and underlines the juiciness, which shows all the way through to the chalky-mineral finish. Very well vinified.
