The red wine Corton Le Clos du Roi Grand Cru AOC, vintage 2009 from the winery Domaine de la Vougeraie has been rated in 2014 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Aglianico from the region Cote de Beaune in France.
Nougat, chocolate powder, a hint of dried porcini mushroom, morel, and dark berryish notes, blackberry jelly. Silky, expansive and generous on the palate, subtle acidity and a little noticeable alcohol, mellow, ripe grainy tannins in medium quantities, excellent length, "très gourmand" and soon ready to drink. Despite its power it is not a monster and is quite fine on the inside.
