The red wine Pernand-Vergelesses Clos Berthet Monopole rouge, vintage 2018 from the winery Domaine Dubreuil-Fontaine has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Bourgogne in France.
Cherry stone, red currant and sloe on the nose with a hint of mint - a savoury bouquet with a restrained wood component. In the mouth the wine combines creaminess with fine-grained tannins. The acidity appears ripe and completely natural, and the elegance of the wine comes from the subtlety of the palate structure and the fine mineral edge. Very elegant indeed.
