A deep pink hue promises much flavour and the nose immediately confirms ripe, luscious cherry and a dimension of oak with its touch of vanilla and hazelnut. The palate is a vision of juicy peach and plum on a rounded, generous body that just has a kiss of oaky richness. This is rounded, generous and beautifully textured and the concentration and smoothness put this in the league of a red. This is Tavel that means business and is up for all manner of food. Simply lovely.
