The red wine Ciabot Mentin Ginestra Barolo DOCG, vintage 2008 from the winery Domenico Clerico has been rated in 2012 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Powerful, bright ruby with garnet shimmer. Presented on the nose with distinctly ripe fruit notes of dried plums, cherry jam, slightly malty tones. Lots of grippy, rich tannins on the palate, builds nicely, but also has slightly malty notes, seems to be very mature.
