The white wine »Herz+Hand« Grauer Burgunder trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Espenhof – Nico Espenschied has been rated in 2018 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauburgunder from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
In addition to pears, there are also darker notes, such as hops, garden herbs, and Asian spices, on the nose. Not a fattening, baroque Grauer Burgunder, but one that defies arbitrariness with character and well-integrated phenolics. Nevertheless, not too avant-garde.
