The red wine Kappa Rosso Toscana IGT, vintage 2018 from the winery Fattoria Kappa has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, impenetrable ruby colour, with lots of purple. The nose has lush and rich fruit, lots of blackberry, cassis and some tree-ripened plum, underpinned by Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it is full-bodied and firm, with plenty of precise fruit, pithy, dense tannins and good freshness despite all the fullness. There is a hearty drive on the finish.
