The red wine Saffredi Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2022 from the winery Fattoria Le Pupille has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot from the region Grosseto in Italy.
Rich, vibrant ruby red with a slight purple tinge. Opens on the nose with notes of graphite and cedar wood, then rich dark berries, elderberries and redcurrants, some pine needles. Present, compact fruit on the palate, opens with finely-meshed tannins, lots of cassis, slightly sandy on the finish.
